The Faculty Advisory Committee functions in three areas to support the faculty of the University. As articulated in the University Statutes, the FAC:
- Provides for the orderly voicing of suggestions for the good of the University;
- Affords added recourse for the consideration of grievances;
- Furnishes a channel for direct and concerted communication between the faculty and the administrative officers of the University, its colleges, schools, institutes, divisions and other administrative units.
In performing these functions, the FAC investigates complaints, holds consultations with individuals and, when necessary, provides the results of these investigations to the University Administration. All matters are held in complete confidence except as the person bringing the grievance and the FAC agree to the contrary.
NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!
The Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC) is seeking nominations for persons interested in serving 3-year-terms. There are two vacancies. Nominations will be considered until May 2, 2025.
Because FAC has the maximum of two members from both LAS (Liberal Arts & Sciences) and FAA (Fine & Applied Arts), any nominees from these units will be ineligible to serve unless a current FAC member from those units is unable to complete their term.
If you are interested, please complete this nomination form. In addition, 3 petitions of support are required. Following the close of nominations, elections will be held as needed.
